Black History Month ’23

Alabama civil rights movement: Selma to Montgomery march, halted at the Edmund Pettus bridge (Tuesday, March 9, 1965)

In celebration of Black History Month, below are links to podcasts, book recommendations, history, show suggestions, a directory to Black owned-businesses in the Greater Boston Area and more to commemorate Black history and uplift Black stories and voices. The links provided below are not meant to be an end point, rather a mere starting point in learning. Black history is American history that goes far beyond the month of February. It is my hope that the resources provided below will allow all who visit this page to gain a better appreciation of the Black experience by starting a dialogue of how we learn from the past and confront the challenges of the future.

“I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I’m a human being, first and foremost, and as such I’m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.”
